You will get better at bass guitar if you :
· Schedule a Time in your busy life to Practice bass 30 minutes a day!
· Record Yourself when you play live and when you practice so you know if you are playing in time!
· Quit (or cut back) on video games and practice your bass instead.
· Don’t watch reruns of “insert TV Show here” and practice your bass instead.
· Listen to all kinds of MUSIC to hear what the kids and the masters are doing.
· Play along with a Metronome or Drum Machine.
· Play with a live drummer as soon as possible.
· Get in a band as soon as possible and play live as often as possible!
· Learn songs by ear
· Take a drum lesson
· Write a song and SING IT!
· Participate at open mike nights
· Buy a percussion instrument and play along with your favorite recording
